Gourd are commonly used as water and rice wine vessels in the mountains of Myanmar. This particular one was given to me by our host ***. We stayed in her home in *** while on the first expedition for Fading Bloodlines. We spent four nights at her home, and each morning I would wake up early to sit with her in the kitchen as she prepared food for the day. Although we did not speak the same verbal language, we understood each other.
